WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

“Tensegrity”, “Tension Integrity” or Floating Compression is a concept employed in both Architecture and Cellular Biology. It describes the property of a stable three-dimensional structure consisting of isolated components in compression within a net of continuous tension. Put aside the concept that skeleton as a stack of building blocks that muscles support and move against gravity. Instead explore a more fluid, graceful, efficient and whole system approach to movement that arises from viewing musculoskeletal anatomy from the perspective of the Connective Tissue System, and applying to human movement principles of Tensegrity.
