Treasurer's Report AGM September 2009
The APMA financially enjoyed another year "in the black". The surplus from normal activities for the 2009 financial year was $1,814.12 and in line with our budget forecasts.
We continued to contain all our cost centres within estimates and Council worked hard to improve efficiencies and ensure the service to members was continually improved.
We experienced income growth with the expansion of membership numbers however our education program underperformed in 2009. Council, through the Education Committee put in place the necessary procedures to ensure comprehensive state by state workshop programs are rolled out in the latter half of 2009 and forward. Workshops are not only an essential strategy of a well functioning organisation, playing a vital role in maintaining the educational standard of our membership, but an integral part of our revenue generation.
We believe the Association's financial health remains robust and it will continue to improve its financial strength in the coming year.
